
Founder and Head Coach
Dustin Jodway
Recipient of the Hamilton Spectator Reader’s Choice Award for Local Artist and Theatre Instructor for 6 consecutive years, Dustin has more than 25 years of experience in community and professional theatre, 10 years of directing experience and many years of KWC performance coaching.
A former Canadian Champion in the Karaoke World Championships, Dustin became a mentor to competitors in subsequent seasons. His innate talent for coaching was soon recognized by KWC, which led to his appointment as Head of Artistic Development for KWC Canada.
In his first season as the head coach of Team Canada, Dustin coached the Canadian duets team to Canada's first-ever gold medal in the duets competition at the Karoke World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Dustin has performed on stages across Canada and as far afield as Helsinki, Finland, while his coaching career has taken him yet further abroad.
Dustin has also spent over 25 years working with Individuals with Special Needs and various degrees of physical and behavioural exceptionalities. Graduating with honours from MoMac specializing in behaviours and the autism spectrum, Dustin loves nothing more than helping people out of their respective shells.

Breathwork and Meditation Instructor
Breann Jodway
Breann Jodway is a certified Breathwork instructor and meditation coach. With many years of experience in the field, Breann has developed a deep understanding of the power of breathwork and meditation to transform lives. She is a member of the Yoga Alliance and has trained with some of their leading experts in the field.
Breann is known for her warm, compassionate, empathic approach, and for her ability to create a safe and supportive environment for her students. She believes that everyone has the potential to tap into their inner wisdom and strength, and that breathwork and meditation are powerful tools for unlocking this potential.

Guitar / trumpet / bass / theory
David Brideau
David Brideau is a Canadian guitarist, composer, and educator who has been an active musician for over 15 years in a variety of genres including jazz, rock, funk and heavy metal. A Hamilton native, David has played all around the GTA, Hamilton and Niagara regions with his own group the David Brideau Trio and Quartet, as well as being prominently featured in groups with Shari Vandermolen, Amber-Lee Palka, and Lauren Perreira, among others. David plays regularly at local cafes, bars, breweries and wineries as well as at multiple musical theatre groups and Big Bands throughout the Hamilton are. He has also played at the Toronto Jazz Festival, the Niagara Twilight Jazz Series and the Brantford International Jazz Festival. Additionally, he has provided entertainment for private events such as weddings, corporate gatherings and parties. From a very young age David has been a prolific writer and arranger in many different genres. His career has provided him the opportunity to study under jazz greats such as Bob Shields, Pat Collins, Kim Ratcliffe, and Mark Ucci. David often composes his own jazz standards, and released the now sold out EP “Addicted To You” in 2016, as well as the conceptual epic “Winter Dream” in 2019. He is a recipient of the Dave McMurdo Music Bursary, the Antony Roberts Music Bursary, and the Richard Newell Memorial Scholarship. David also teaches privately as a music instructor at the Red Tree Performance Academy. David graduated with an Honours Bachelor degree in Applied Music at Mohawk College in 2013, an Honours Bachelor of Music at McMaster University in 2016 and a Bachelor of Education at York University in 2019.

Acting / Piano
Luis Arojo
Luis Arrojo teaches piano and acting at Red Tree Performance Academy. He specializes in both beginner piano and RCM preparation. Luis also coaches for stage, film, television, musicals, commercials, and voice.You may have seen Luis in several theatres in the area - as actor, director, producer, writer and stage management. Luis is excited to help you read music, overcome your fears and bring out your inner artist.

Sound Healing / Piano
Aurora
Aurora started out as a classical Pianist; training under some of Canada's most notable teachers and pianists. She holds an ARCT in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. In 2024 she joined Red Tree as assistant vocal coach for their musical production that year. Aurora teaches senior piano and Piano Performance coaching, but enjoys working with all levels - and has developed a method of teaching little ones thru colour association
She now focuses primarily on sound healing and spiritual work, holding sound bath retreats and assisting with meditation sessions. She is also facilitator for our Red Tree Dance program

Scriptwriting
Jill White
Gillian White is a successful indie author and screenwriter, whose work in audio description spans projects for FX Studios, Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours with a Major in Professional Writing and a double Minor in English and Classics/Religion from UTM, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Television Writing and Producing from Humber College. With her vast experience and education in the medium of writing, she is excited to teach others the art of crafting compelling narrative stories.
During her workshops and writing bootcamps aspiring writers will learn not only the basic elements of a story, but detailed and proven formulas to creating engaging prose, along with tips and tricks to working past plot holes, stubborn story beats and the dreaded writer's block

Ali Macdonald
Ali can't wait to help you rock the stage with professional stage make-up and hairstyling! She has personal experience on stage at KWC competitions and is expert at knowing how to create costuming that pops your stage presence. She believes that looking fabulous greatly enhances self confidence and personal expression.

Sound Recording
Megan Gilbey
Megan Gilbey graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Communication Culture Information Technology - she first recorded and edited her own song while in university. Since 2019, she has continued recording and editing many music videos, many of which can be found on her professional YouTube channel

ballroom dance
Zoltan Nyiri
Zoltan has been dancing since he was 12, and teaching since 14. He believes in connection, community and fun. He won a regional mambo championship, and has been competing for years; he has travelled to Spain, Greece, Italy (and more) and has found that the most powerful aspect of dance is bringing people together.
Zoltan's ultimate goal is to bring people together socially, to teach the lady's/gentleman's agreement, and create a beautiful community where people can thrive. And for all these wonderful things - you have to learn to dance!

Shane Kachur, known as Coach Shane or simply Shane, is a respected martial artist and academic whose career bridges traditional Chinese martial arts, physiotherapy and Daoist philosophy. His journey reflects a commitment to personal mastery, teaching excellence, and advancing health through interdisciplinary approaches.
Drawing on his multidisciplinary background, Coach Shane fuses martial arts philosophy with evidence-based physiotherapy and entrepreneurial strategy. His innovative approach centers on designing programs that use Chinese physical and philosophical practices to improve mobility, enhance function, and proactively address the effects of aging. Shane is committed to establishing a center of excellence dedicated to healthy aging and the prevention of frailty, offering a model that integrates martial arts, rehabilitation science, and business acumen for transformative community health.
